The two most important things when you want to make money as an affiliate blogger, is you’ve got to make sure that you pick the right niche, and always provide valuable content that makes your visitors want to buy from you.

So exactly how do you get started with this money making tactic?

Well, the first thing you are going to need is a domain name. Before you actually go to a domain registrar and start buying a domain name, you do need to do a little bit of research first. Make sure that you find a domain name that is closely related to your niche, and if you can find a catchy one that would be best too.

Consider getting your domain name and hosting from a provider that can give you great customer service and has stable databases. I recommend Hostgator.com or Godaddy.com, but you can use anyone you want as long as they are a reputable stable provider.

Once you have your domain name and your web hosting, you can move on and get the actual WordPress software. Now the reason why I recommended Hostgator is because they have Fantastico. Most web hosting companies do have fantastico but if you don’t know what that is, I’ll show you what that is in my course Affiliate Blogging Secrets which teaches the whole affiliate blogger model.

You will eventually need a theme for your blog too, but don’t worry about the theme just yet. What I mean by theme is the look of your WordPress site. WordPress is so easy to use and so easy to change the look of that you can pick and choose a theme later on. You can pick and choose themes. You can upload themes, you can change a theme within a few seconds and it is that easy to do. In our program we show you how to install WordPress which could take about five minutes..

So, once you have a domain name you are well on your way. Get a blog setup on your domain name, and in my next post we will talk about what to do next. 🙂
