Productive Business Hacks

Becoming more productive is something most people either want to strive for, or *need* to strive for. It becomes important when you work from home to focus on business goals during a defined block of time, rather than allowing your work to take over your whole day. These ‘hacks’ my help with getting things under control.
  1. Quantify your goals…

Whether it be a daily task or a long term goal, allotting specific parameters to the things you need to do stops the overwhelm and allows you to focus on getting things done efficiently. Instead of “I need to write articles this week.” it is easier to accomplish “I will write one article a day this week.”

  2. Reply to emails on your phone…

Replying to emails on your phone, using one or two thumbs on the tiny keyboard, forces you to be brief, thereby freeing up more time for more important things. Also, if you commute to work by transit or car pool, use that dead time as your email time.
What brilliant hacks do you use to manage your time better than the rest of us? Let us know!
